Interesting article, I enjoyed hearing about your IF experiences. I have been following IF for the past 6 months. My schedule is tea at 10:30 am, (and of course a few more teas after that), lunch, and then a snack and dinner. All done with eating by 7 pm usually. Getting it within that strict 8 hour window is hard. I think it's impossible to maintain if you go perfection.
I'm sure your somewhat busy and more physically strenuous routine (45 min walk, sports or working out every evening) would make following IF quite tricky. You have a good number of calories that you would need to fit in to a fairly small window. Impressive that you generally have 13 hour breaks for food (fairly close to 16).
