… partly because there are no true standards and each doctor and program will define it differently. That reality, combined with the nonsense above about “affordable services” makes it pretty much impossible to trust the man’s messages, in my opinion.
Interesting! I’m currently working with a functional med dr that is an md. I can truly say it’s been pricy, but also one of the most transformative experiences of my life. There’s a wide variety of approaches and backgrounds in the practitioners. Some Dr’s out there (like Terry Wahl, who now has a specific treatment regimen to treat MS that got her out of a wheelchair and back on a bike again) are doing groundbreaking things. But it is definitely not for everyone, as much of the supplements are outside the traditional insurance based, subsidized, pharmacy purchases. I love that you’re addressing this topic!
