Interesting! I’m currently working with a functional med dr that is an md. I can truly say it’s been pricy, but also one of the most transformative experiences of my life. There’s a wide variety of approaches and backgrounds in the practitioners. Some Dr’s out there (like Terry Wahl, who now has a specific treatment regimen to treat MS that got her out of a wheelchair and back on a bike again) are doing groundbreaking things. But it is definitely not for everyone, as much of the supplements are outside the traditional insurance based, subsidized, pharmacy purchases. I love that you’re addressing this topic!
